Product description

Vitamin K1 is a supplement that contains the ingredient phytonadione, a vitamin that helps blood clot better and helps prevent bleeding problems. It is used to counteract the signs of hypoprothrombinemia, a disease characterized by a deficiency of the blood-clotting substance prothrombin, which can lead to uncontrolled bleeding. Hypoprothrombinemia is induced when your pet ingests coumarin compounds found in commercial rodenticides (rat poison). Vitamin K1 is available in an injectable solution for cats, dogs, goats, sheep, swine, horses, calves, and cattle. This injectable solution contains 10 mg/mL of Phytonadione. Vitamin K1 Injection is injected intramuscularly for rapid absorption and can be used for your pets and livestock.

Active ingredients

Phytonadione 10 mg

Inactive ingredients: 70 mg of Polyoxyethylated fatty acid derivative, 37.5 mg of Dextrose, 1.5% v/v of Benzyl alcohol (preservative) and, 1 ml of Water for Injection.

  • To treat coagulation disorders that are due to faulty formation of factors II, VII, IX, and X when caused by Vitamin K deficiency or interference with Vitamin K activity.
  • To counter hypoprothrombinemia induced by ingestion of anticoagulant rodenticides.
  • To counter hypoprothrombinemia caused by consumption of bishydroxycoumarin found in spoiled and moldy sweet clover.
